- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Sunshine Dental insisted I bring a copy of my son's birth certificate or other document declaring I was his mother simply because he was adopted. After many visits to CHOP, Dupont, and many other local offices, I was shocked that this would be required. After speaking with a lawyer friend there is no reason this should be needed, he has our last name, and is covered under our insurance, therefore there should be no question of who is parents are. We will happily be searching for anothr dentist, particularly one who has a sensitivity towards adoption, as well as an understanding of what is and is not needed to treat a patient.January 28, 2017by Travis Brubaker
